Röda Sten is proud to announce the launch of Platform – a new structure highlighting a selection of proposals received by the institution.
The first edition of Platform will feature a selection of the following three proposals:
Sara-Vide Ericson
The exhibition features works from the painting series Rida (2010) and Hilla (2009), as well as the collaborative film project Tyska Tårar – Before the Porch Roof Falls Down on Us – a film which addresses issues of gender and nationalism. The film is made by Sara-Vide Ericson, Hilda Ekeroth and Iris Smedt, and produced by Huluboda Art Association.
Janna Holmstedt
The exhibition features Environmental Dependency Syndrome, an interactive video installation, and SQUID, a collaborative project by Janna Holmstedt, Katja Algert and Martijn van Berkum in the form of an online archive of texts written by professionals from the cultural field. The archive facilitates space for what we call the parallel knowledge that emerges from an investigative, creative process.

LOUNGE
In Lounge, the book project Fill a Box is presented, in which you are invited to read and look through publications from various cultural institutions. Some of the boxes are filled with reading copies of the magazines that are for sale at Röda Sten.
